The mini bus which used to transport
those who had no other means of coming
to church on Sundays could be made
available to the church again - but only if
the demand is sufficiently high. If you know
of anyone who would benefit from such
help please let Deacon Tom know. If and
only if, there is sufficient need and we
could muster a coordinator and team to
run the scheme then we would happily
re-introduce the availability of such
transport.

An alternative to the minibus of course,
especially if there are only a couple or
three who need the minibus,  is to offer a
lift to Mass on Sundays to a fellow
parishioner whom you are aware is in
need of help to come to St. Johns.  Please
let us know if we can be of help.

Walsingham 2010 - Following last year's
successful pilgrimage to Walsingham, 25
places have been reserved at the Shrine
for this year, from Saturday 13th to Monday
15th November.  Do please put the date in
your diary and watch this space for further
details after Easter.  As last time, there are
only a limited number of single rooms
available and you may be asked to share.
Information about cost to follow ...  Please
speak to Fr Terry or Mark Forster if you
have any questions. There is a sign-up
sheet at the back of the church for those
interested in going on this Pilgrimage from
13th - 15th November.

Memorial to Fr Bernard Cassidy - We
are delighted to inform you that, at no
cost to us, and very generously, J
Gumbrill Monumental Masons
(Freeman Brothers) of Horsham, have
kindly restored, cleaned and repaired
the memorial stone to Fr Cassidy in
Hills Cemetery in Horsham.  Do go and
have a look at it and say a prayer for Fr
Cassidy.  It is beautifully done and is a
fitting memorial to a remarkable man.
As you know, Fr Cassidy arrived in the
parish in 1909 and, with incredible
energy and enthusiasm, had built the
present St John's Church within a year
of the end of the First World War.
Eternal rest grant to him, O Lord, and
let perpetual light shine upon him.  May
he rest in peace.
